5 January 2011: We are happy to announce that the lab has established a new collaboration with the www.supercontinent.org project. The Lund lab will date young or badelleyite free mafic rocks.

9 September 2010: Ms. Jill Gabo will be working in the lab 2 1/2 months a guest researcher to to date volcanism in the Philippines.

7 October 2009: We are happy to announce that Dr. Laurence Page will start as research officer as of 1 November.

28 September 2009: After many years of good service, our ionisation filament gave up its glow. While installing a new filament, we are giving the instrument a general overhaul and service. We hope to be back in operation towards the end of October. 

15 September 2009: Dr. Ryohei Takahashi will be working in the lab 2 1/2 months a guest researcher to to date epigenetic gold mineralisations.

2 june 2009: Anders Scherstén has received 1 700 000 SEK from the Crafoord Foundation for "Development of the 40Ar/39Ar geochronology laboratory at the Dept. of Geology, Lund University." This grant will have a great impact on the lab. We will soon be able to offer a two-year position in Ar-geochronology. The grant wil ensure development of analytical techniques and enable the lab to establish itself at the highest scientific level.
